Accra, Ghana, is set to host the 10th Triennial World Assemblies of God Congress (WAGC 2026) from October 14 to 16, 2026, bringing together church leaders, ministers, and delegates from across the globe for a time of fellowship, leadership development, spiritual renewal and renewed commitment to the Great Commission.
Key Highlights
- A Historic Milestone for Africa: For the first time in the 115-year history of the global Assemblies of God movement, the World Congress will be hosted on African soil, positioning Ghana at the centre of this significant global Christian gathering.
- Theme: “Commissioned: One Mandate, Every Nation” Anchored in Matthew 28:18–20, the congress will reaffirm the Church’s commitment to fulfilling the Great Commission, with particular emphasis on the MM33 Mandate, which seeks to establish one million churches worldwide by 2033.
- Venues and Programme
- Day Sessions – AICC, Accra International Conference Center(GRAND ARENA)
- Scheduled for 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., these sessions will feature leadership training, plenary discussions and other congress activities.
- Registration is required.
- Evening Rallies – Accra Sports Stadium: Beginning at 7:00 p.m., these open gospel gatherings will provide opportunities for worship, preaching and spiritual renewal. Admission is free.
- Anticipated Global Participation: The congress is expected to attract more than 10,000 delegates, pastors, and church leaders representing over 180 nations, making it a significant gathering for the global Pentecostal community.
- Host Leadership: The event is being hosted by the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Stephen Yenusom Wengam, in collaboration with Global Chairman Pastor Dominic Yeo and other distinguished leaders of the international Assemblies of God movement.
- Ministers, Worship, and Special Performances: The programme is expected to feature respected local and international ministers, alongside renowned gospel artistes, including Joe Mettle, Dunsin Oyekan, Sinach, and Angela Donadio, contributing to an atmosphere of worship, unity, and spiritual celebration.
