#OccupyJulorbiHouse protestors arrested and sent to the Cental police station.
The organizers, of the Occupy Julorbi House known as Democracy Hub, had originally planned to stage a demonstration in the vicinity of the Jubilee House from Thursday, September 21, to Saturday, September 23, 2023, giving notice to the police, a month earlier of their plans.
On Wednesday September 20, 2023 the police released a statement, they had filed an injunction to halt the #OccupyJulorbiHouse demonstration with the court and were waiting for the court’s decision before taking any further action.
Organisers of the demonstration responded in a statement that they had not been served with the Ghana Police Service, releasing another statement, saying serving documents had been sent to the lawyers of the organisers.
On Thursday, September 21, Ghanaian citizens who showed up for the planned protest were arrested by the Ghana Police Service in the early hours of day, putting them in a bus to the police station.
A news flash monitored by Kekz World News, reveals arrested protestors have been put behind bars, confirmed by one of the conveyers.
However,their conveyers are optimistic of having their colleagues released, following the fact that they have committed no crime and are been abused wrongly.
Meanwhile been divided in groups of five(5), some are been interrogated.
