Majority Caucus In Parliament Demands Immediate Dismissal Of Finance Minister

 

The New Patriotic Party(NPP) Majority In Parliament has called on President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo for the dismissal of the Finance Minister and his deputy with immediate effect.
According to the lawmakers, failure by the President to heed their call of relieving Ken Ofori-Atta and Charles Adu Boahen of their duties is tantamount to they boycotting government business in the house.

The MPs, numbering 80, held a press conference on Tuesday to impress on the President to relieve his cousin of managing the national purse or risk their support for government business going forward.

President Akufo-Addo recently backed the works of the Finance Minister and said he has no reason to sack him speaking on an Ashanti region.
According to him, the Finance Minister has helped in the Ghana’s economy being the fastest growing economy.
