LOVE FEVER

A poem written by Phebe Kekeli Dewodo

Ever woken up from your wildest desire
In your hands, lies a beautiful picture; staring
At the soul, your soul seeks to be tied to.
That same soul that got you uttering a soliloquy
Before your souls met, happily.

When breathtaking moments of sharing skin,
Sharing sheet, breathing through same lung and heart happens,
Then the kisses of her mouth kisses you,
You feel her beautiful cheeks like rows of jewels,
Her neck like the chains of gold.

You touch her beautiful skin, as soft and smooth like a cashmere wool,
And her eyes like the deep blue oceans which stare alone, is therapeutic.
A thread of scarlet are like her lips,
Her soothing speech heals wounds and clears off every scar,
By night on your bed, you sought her and make her a queen in your empire,
She lives in ecstasy and reciprocate the ecstasy.

You seem to count all the stars, up the sky, like a super star
In the sky, following your experience of been on cloud 9.
Oh yes it’s a desire, a memory of a lifetime.
Suddenly, you find yourself beneath a cold sheet, with two legs
Not the earlier usual four (4) and oh you realize it was a dream.
The heart ache, the heart break, the mind torture and torments
The dream fetches you realizing it isn’t real.

You will for fetch it’s a bittersweet moments when the memories
Throws you back to thinking about this special someone your heart longs for
Like a butter cake you would always love to enjoy, lick and live with every morning,
The joy it feels your heart with, the smiles that burst up your
Cheeks like a mouth full of a sweet meal,
A mind full of winning games and plans.
And just as every cloud has a silver lining, the dream gives
You hope, she will someday be Your Woman, Your Queen.
