I WAS TOO PROUD TO WIN VGMA ARTISTE OF THE YEAR – KIDI

Dennis Nana Dwamena better known in the entertainment cycle as Kidi, a highlife and afrobeats Artiste disclosed in his latest interview with Akoma FM’s Entertainment 360 host, Tony Best on Saturday July 31, a show monitored by Kekz World News; he became too proud on the night of the 22nd edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) and might have caused his losing out of the ultimate award of the night, Artiste of the Year to the gospel musician, Diana Antwi Hamilton.

According to him, it is usual that once nominated, you definitely have high hopes of winning the category and possibly win the ultimate, however winning the artiste of the year got into his head so much when he won his third award on the night hence his utterance, “I will be back”

He reiterated “When I took the first award, I didn’t talk too much, the second one too so did I, I spoke less in my acceptance speech, but on the third award I was overly confident of coming back for the ultimate category nomination. I felt I was so close to winning the Artiste of the Year.

But at the point, I felt God said, ‘my guy, you’re becoming so proud for my liking, the four you have received is enough, go home with it’’ he said hilariously.

Meanwhile, his ‘Golden Boy’ album which is much – talked about on Thursday, July 29, has already commenced been promoted.
